Tarot card reading

My readings always begin with a tarot spread.

Without overthinking it, choose 4 cards out of these 22:

0 cards selected

The order in which you turn them over matters: I read each card in the place you give it.

Psychic Readings by Chat, Writing or Phone: Which to Choose?

The format matters more than you might think. The same person, with the same skill, will produce a very different experience depending on the channel, and that difference largely determines what you get out of the exchange.

Here are the three formats, what each allows, and who each one suits.

Nothing to install, no account to create: simply draw the cards.

Live chat

You exchange in writing, in real time. The pace is slower than speech, which gives you time to put things into words.

Who it suits: people who freeze when speaking, those who fear being judged on their voice or their hesitations, those who want to keep a record.

The decisive advantage: you can reread it with a cool head, several days later. And with a cool head, you often understand something different from what you understood in the moment. It is a considerable benefit, because what you take from a session changes a lot with hindsight.

The limits: less spontaneity, and above all a price often calculated by connection time, which pushes you to write fast.

The point of vigilance: check whether the price is a flat fee or per minute. In the second case, prepare your questions in advance and do not think things through online. The real advantages and limits of a chat reading detail what this format allows and what it costs.

Delayed written readings

You send your questions and receive a written answer within a few days.

Who it suits: those who want to take the time to phrase their request, and those who are intimidated by the idea of a live exchange.

The decisive advantage: the delay forces you to write clearly what you are looking for, which is already half the work. And the practitioner works without the pressure of immediacy.

The limits: no chance to bounce back. If your question was badly phrased, the answer will miss the mark, and you will have paid for it.

The point of vigilance: the phrasing of your questions becomes critical. How to prepare your questions before a remote session is an essential prerequisite here, more than in the other formats.

The phone

The exchange closest to meeting in person. The voice comes through, and so do the silences.

Who it suits: those who need human contact, those who prefer talking to writing, those who want to react immediately to what they hear.

The decisive advantage: fluidity. A half hour conversation covers much more ground than an equivalent written exchange, and it allows adjustments along the way.

The limits: you do not remember much. The next day, often only one sentence remains, rarely the most important one. How to build a connection by phone without seeing each other gives practical landmarks for this format, notably on taking notes.

The point of vigilance: have something to take notes with, or ask whether recording is possible.

The decision table

Live writing Delayed writing Phone
Record kept Yes Yes No, except notes
Possible to adjust Yes No Yes
Time to reflect Medium High Low
Intimidation Low Very low Higher

The criterion that really settles it

It is none of those in the table. It is this one: in which format will you be most comfortable saying what you have to say?

If you are getting a reading on an intimate subject, and the idea of putting it into words out loud blocks you, writing wins without question. If you need to hear someone, the phone wins, even if you remember less.

That comfort determines the quality of what you bring to the exchange, and therefore of what you get out of it.

This is especially true for love questions, where what a reading can really shed light on in a relationship depends a lot on your ability to say what is really going on.

What distance does not change

A question often comes up: is it less reliable than in person?

In terms of method, no. A spread is done with real cards, whether the person is in the same room or three hundred miles away. A calculation is made from data you provide.

What distance changes is the relationship: physical presence is missing, the eye contact, the way someone sits down. Some people feel freer that way, others less trusting. It is a matter of temperament, not reliability.

What the three formats have in common

Whatever the channel, the same requirements apply: price announced beforehand, defined duration, excluded subjects stated, no promise of results, no paid service popping up during the exchange.

These criteria do not depend on the format, and the landmarks that set a reliable practitioner apart apply identically to all three.

Also check what is kept from your exchanges. With writing, the question is particularly relevant since a record exists by design, and what to check about confidentiality and data deserves a direct question before you start.

Whatever the format, the question of reliability always comes back. Read what to know about the reliability of psychic readings before getting one.

Trying rather than choosing

If you are hesitating, start with the format that intimidates you least. You can always try another one later.

And note how you felt afterwards: were you able to say what you wanted? That answer will settle it better than any comparison.
